Abandoned - Part 2
Abandoned Room
Part 2
I start adding a few little details now. It’s the small details that really make the difference. These are tiny newspapers I printed off the internet, painted them with brown water and tied with string soaked in brown water.
I've stained the stairs with brown acrylic paint. And added a fake door. I LOVED creating the door from scratch. I painted it in several coats of white acrylic paint mixed with a little yellow to take the edge off. I then scratched it with a file and dirtied it up. Final touch of the coat hook which I dirtied up and the handle. Adding more yellow water around the edges. The tiny light switch and thermostat from ebay, I also dirtied up along with the door mat (ebay). I've also now added some skirting boards which I have painted whitish yellow and dirtied up.
Here you can see the cute little ashtray and singular fag which I have glued to the armrest and the chest of drawers which I have painted, sanded and scratched up.I have also now added some boards to the back of the window. And plan to add some 'crime scene' tape later on.
Back inside I have broken a chair and dirtied it up plus added a rug which I have destroyed a bit and flicked some red paint over it. I have also made a picture frame (picture to follow) and added a real working light which I have made to look old and rusty. I have also added a radiator which came silver but I have painted it with several coats of white and yellow acrylic paint and added some rust.
At this point I'm not sure about keeping the staircase. They take up a lot of room. I have not glued them down yet so I have time to make further decisions.
